WINCHENDON - Everett C. "Jim" Blair, Jr., 80, of 411 River Street, died peacefully Thursday evening, May 17, 2018 in his residence, after a long illness with his family at his side.

He was born in Rindge, NH on May 4, 1938, son of the late Everett C. and Ruth (Gordon) Blair Sr. and had lived in Winchendon for 40 years.

Jim had worked for Eastern Propane as a delivery driver for 30 years, retiring in 2014.  He previously  worked as a truck driver for several years.  Jim was a true hard working blue collar family man.

Jim took pride in caring for the Waterville Park with his trusty tractor every year, especially for Memorial Day.  His favorite pastime was playing Bingo with his many friends and meeting many people at Twin River Casino, as well as playing with his dog Lu Lu.

Jim proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.  He was a member of Monadnock Bible Baptist Church, Rindge, NH.

He leaves his wife of 39 years, Rosemary E. (Parmenter) Rivers Blair; a daughter Amy Blair of Winchendon; one son Everett C. Blair III of Gardner; a stepdaughter, Pamela Randall and husband Allan of Chattanooga, TN; 2 stepsons, Robert Rivers and wife Nancy of Rindge and David Rivers of Winchendon; two adopted sons, Isaiah Blair and Patrick Blair of Winchendon and grandson, Mason Jandris Blair, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Steve Blair of Winchendon, Robert Blair of Gardner and Rick Blair of Jaffrey; 4 sisters, Judy Blair of Gardner, Joyce Donaway of Rindge, Barbara Norwood of Indiana and Jeanette Blair Westover of Keene, NH and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Kenny Blair; a stepson, Gary Rivers and a granddaughter Marie Ostrowski.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 11 AM in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.  The Rev. Thomas Peragallo will officiate.

Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, May 21, 2018 from 5 to 7 P.M.
