Everett E. Barrows

WINCHENDON - Everett E. Barrows, 65, of 69C Hyde Park Drive, Winchendon, died early Sunday, December 10th in his residence surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous eight year struggle with lung cancer. He was born in Fitchburg on April 5,1941, the son of John and Rose (Fortunato) Barrows and had lived in Winchendon for 23 years. Everett was a truck driver for Esposito Excavating before his retirement in 2004. He was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Baldwinville and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He leaves his wife of 39 years, Sandra A. (Kittredge) Barrows; three sons, Keith R. Barrows, Leo R. Barrows and Jeremy J. Barrows, all of Winchendon; a daughter, Diane L. Charland, also of Winchendon; three brothers, Kenneth R. Barrows of Poland Springs, Maine, John F. Barrows of Fitchburg and Cecil F. Barrows of Anchorage, AK.; three sisters, Florence G. Jones of Tampa, Florida, Jacqueline B. Brooke of Tuttle, OK., and Jay Thompson of Eagle River, AK.; eight grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a sister, Rosemary Barrows. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Gardner Visiting Nursing Association Hospice Program, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA. 01440.
