Florence E. Murdock

WINCHENDON – Florence E. Murdock, 85, formerly of 92 Ipswich Drive, died peacefully Thursday morning, February 26th in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home, Gardner.
She was born in Winchendon on March 25, 1929, daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Wyman) Murdock and graduated from the former Templeton High School. She was a resident of Winchendon for most of her life.
Flo worked for 21 years at the former Temple Stuart Furniture Company and then worked for 20 years at Simplex Time Recorder as an assembler until her retirement. Flo was a member of Winchendon Lions Club, where she participated in many club events. She was a member of the former Templeton Grange. Among her hobbies were oil painting, fishing, knitting, crocheting and being a ham radio operator.
She leaves a brother Sidney Murdock of Winchendon; a sister, Nancy Desmond of Ft. Pierce, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Thelma Bisbee, Louise Whitney and Ethel Lirette.
Private graveside services will be held in the spring in Riverside Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
