TEMPLETON – Frances L. (Fitzpatrick) Kennedy, 78, of 851 Patriots Road, died peacefully Thursday morning, September 4th at her residence, with her family at her side.
A lifelong resident of Templeton, she was born in Gardner on January 18, 1936 the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Nicholson) Fitzpatrick and was a member of the first graduating class of the former Templeton High School.
Frances worked as a custodian at Georgia-Pacific until her retirement. She previously worked at George Bent Furniture Company. An avid golfer, she had shot multiple hole-in-ones. Frances was a member of Ellinwood Country Club and Winchendon Golf Club. A member of the Women’s Golf Team, she had played in the September Cup. For several years, she and her husband had wintered in Florida. Frances loved her family and was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She leaves her husband of 59 years, Raymond A. Kennedy; a son, Raymond A. Kennedy, Jr and his wife Rochelle of Baldwinville; a daughter, Sharron L. Kennedy of Gardner; six grandchildren, Justin Bourque, Angela Bourque, Samantha Lovell, Cory Kennedy, Cera Kennedy and Michelle McCrillis; a sister, Margaret Snyder of Baldwinville; a son-in-law, Raymond Parker of Baldwinville; 3 great granddaughters, Julianna McCrillis, Abigail McFarland and Novalie Bourque, as well as several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen M. Parker and a brother, John Fitzpatrick.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 9th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
