Frances M. (Burbank) Burbank

WINCHENDON – Frances M. (Burbank) Burbank, 93, formerly of 10 Washington Avenue, Winchen don, died peacefully Tuesday evening, May 14th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
She was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 26, 1919, the youngest of four children of Harold M. and Elizabeth (Gilligan) Burbank and had lived in Winchendon since 1953.
Fran worked for many years as a clerk at Winchendon Town Hall. She worked mostly in the Water Department until her retirement. She was a member of The United Parish Church. A longtime member of the Clark Memorial YMCA, Fran was very athletic and particularly enjoyed playing volleyball, even in to her later years. She treasured spending time with her family.
Her husband, Ray C. Burbank Jr., died in 1988. She leaves two children, Davis H. Burbank and his wife, Yayoi of Fernandina Beach, FL and Barbara Burbank of Westmoreland, NH; four grandchildren, William Burbank, Nathan Burbank , Elizabeth Towle, Thomas Borden and his wife Tracey of Keene, NH and eight great grandchildren. A grandson, Jonathan Burbank; two brothers, Howard Burbank and Thomas Burbank and a sister, Elvira Harlin predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 20th at 2:30 PM in Riverside Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon. The Rev. F. Calvin Miller will officiate.
