WINCHENDON – Frank E. Parks Jr., 73, of 151 Mill Street, died peacefully Wednesday morning, October 7th in Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston.
A lifelong resident of Winchendon, he was a born on October 27, 1941, son of the late Frank E. and E. Arlene (Peckham) Parks and was educated in Winchendon schools.
Frank worked for 33 ½ years at General Electric in its receiving department until his retirement. Frank was a die-hard fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. An incredible family man, he found his greatest enjoyment spending time with his family.
During the Vietnam War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and received the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of Eugene M. Connor Post #193 American Legion.
He leaves his wife of 53 years, Marilyn F. (Maliska) Parks; a daughter, Melissa M. Hagemeyer and her husband Mark A.; a sister, Lois A. Wolloff of Winchendon; three grandchildren, Zachary Hagemeyer, Haley Hagemeyer and Benjamin Hagemeyer and a great granddaughter, Mya Hagemeyer.
Military funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13th at 11 A.M. in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. There are no calling hours.
