Frederick A. Cloutier, born in Gardner, Massachusetts on March 2, 1945, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 on November 29, 2023. Frederick, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was a man of strong principles who dedicated his life to the service of his community. He was a resident of Winchendon, Massachusetts, and retired from the town's Law Enforcement, where he held numerous positions including Police Chief, DARE Officer, Safety Officer, Civil Defence Director, and Town Constable.
Frederick is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy D. (Emond) Cloutier, their children Kimberly D. (Bruce) Coffin and Richard J. (Wanda) Cloutier; his cherished grandchildren Lazlo W. Cloutier and Avery G. Coffin (Sunshine); his sister Dorothy A. Boutelle, and many many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph E. Sr. and Lillian (Tatro) Cloutier, and siblings Virginia I. Hardy, Angelina V. Galup, Lillian E. Bateman, Mari-Jane Cloutier, and Joseph E. Jr.
Frederick retired in 2005 and spent his golden years as a true putterer, enjoying woodworking and working in his yard on his John Deere Tractor. These moments, shared with his family, particularly his grandchildren, were some of his most cherished. He had a special love for Walt Disney World, a magical place that brought him endless joy when visited with his grandchildren. Frederick was also a member of the American Legion and the DAV. His dedication, hard work, and the immense love he held for his family will forever be remembered.
Calling hours will be held at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon, Massachusetts, 01475 on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m..
A graveside service will follow on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen Street, Winchendon, MA 01475.
