ANAHEIM, CA - Fred W. Dembek, 67, of Anaheim, CA and formerly of Gardner, died June 25th in Fullerton, CA. He was born in Gardner on May 9, 1943 and attended Gardner schools. Fred served in the Marine Corps for four years during the Vietnam War, stationed in Japan. For the last 45 years, Fred had lived in California. He worked many years ago for BF Goodrich and later worked for several years as a sales representative for Industrial Metal Supply in Ivan, CA. Fred loved his family and was very dedicated to his grandchildren. His mother, Jennie M. (Dembek) Collier, died in February. He leaves a son, Carl Dembek of Anaheim; a daughter, Brenda Harrison of Rosewell, New Mexico; his close friend and companion Pat Criswell of Anaheim; a brother, Joe Collier of Hesperia, Ca; a sister, Georgia Thompson of Winchendon; three uncles, Joe Dembek of Otter River, Vic Dembek of East Templeton and Leo Dembek of Gardner; an aunt, Frances Pardee of Gardner; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by four uncles, Chester Dembek, Tony Dembek, Ritchie Dembek and Stanley Dembek and an aunt, Alice Ducharme. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 10th at 11 A.M. in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA. 01701.
