WINCHENDON – Gary R. Martin, 51, of 11 Pearl Street, Winchendon, died Thursday, May 3rd, at his residence.
He was born in Winchendon on February 8, 1961, son of Elizabeth (Marquis) Martin of Wilton, NY, and the late Robert Martin and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon.
Gary attended Winchendon schools, received his GED, and took various courses at Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner. He worked a variety of jobs, including Kamenstein Manufacturing in Winchendon. Gary loved to garden and vacation at the ocean. He enjoyed going to flea markets and antique stores. He also was very devoted to his black lab NIKO.
In addition to his mother, he leaves three brothers, Keith A. Martin and his wife Marie of Wilton, NY, Brian P. Martin and his wife Christine of Winchendon and Kevin M. Martin of Winchendon; two sisters, Lori A. Martin and Corey Wilson of Winchendon and Robin M. and Michael Hildreth of Opp, Alabama and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 15th at 10:30 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Monday, May 14th from 6 to 8 P.M.
