RINDGE, NH - Gerard J. Goguen, 78, of 13 Country Meadows Drive, Rindge, NH, formerly of Fitchburg and Lunenburg, died Monday morning, January 18th in Good Shepherd Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Jaffrey. He was born in Fitchburg, MA on September 2,1931, the son of the late Adelard and Beatrice (Landry) Goguen and moved to Canada in 1939, and graduated from high school there. In 1946, he moved back to this country. For the last 27 years, he had lived in Rindge after previously living in Lunenburg. Gerard worked 42 years at Fitchburg Paper Company until his retirement. He worked in maintenance for 15 years and then worked in its Purchasing Department for 27 years. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Private First Class during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed hockey. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Jacqueline A. (Lirette) Goguen, whom he married September 6,1952; three children, Renee Blanchette and her husband Richard of New Ipswich, NH, Richard Goguen of Beverly, MA and Michelle Goguen of New York City, NY and one sister, Lucille Rheault of Lancaster, PA. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon, MA.
