WINCHENDON - Gladys H. (Sa'Doques) Monette, 81, of 114B Ipswich Drive, Winchendon, died Monday, March 6th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, following an illness. She was born in Laconia, New Hampshire on August 4,1924, the daughter of Charles and Beatrice (Richards) Sa'Doques and had resided in Winchendon for most of her life. Gladys was an assembler at Millipore Corp. in Jaffrey, New Hampshire before her retirement. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Gladys enjoyed playing volleyball with her family at the Clark Memorial Community Center when she was younger. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time with family and friends. She leaves her husband of 62 years, Howard N. Monette: two sons, Tracy J. Monette of Winchendon and Gary J. Monette of Tuscon, AZ.; two daughters, Karen J. Cormier of Gardner and Linda B. Woodward of Spring Hill, Florida; a sister, Pauline Rushlow of Keene, New Hampshire; seven grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Randy H. Monette in 1995 and a granddaughter, Holly Woodward. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, March 13th at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street. Private burial will take place in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heywood Hospital Oncology Department, 242 Green Street, Gardner, MA. 01440.
