Gloria (Carrier) Gendron Casavant, 91 of Winchendon and most recently a Resident of Gardner Rehabilitation Center, found her way home on November 23, 2024. Born on February 12, 1933
Gloria was one of eight siblings. She was an avid reader, enjoyed singing, bingo, playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, knitting, quilting, and all manner of crafting. She especially enjoyed her Diamond Dots which were framed and prominently displayed.
Gloria sang in Choirs, for weddings and the sheer joy of it. In her final months, She could be found singing with Chaplain Dan. Singing brought her great joy and her voice was a joy to be heard. Wells Beach was one of her favorite places to be. She spent many memorable times there with her sister Anita, and years later with her husband Henry. A beach themed décor was always in the rotation at her home and in Maine.
But Bingo was the name of the game for Gloria. Along with her Mother and Sisters, they were always up for a good night of Bingo. Wherever it took her. From Winchendon and surrounding areas to Maine and even early Morning Bingo in Las Vegas while visiting her eldest grandson.
Gloria remembered fondly being a Volunteer in The Reading Program at Memorial School. She was a past Secretary, and Member of the Golden Agers, and served on The Tenant Advisory Board at Ipswich Drive. The latter two positions show casing, her superb organizational skills that had served her well in all the years she worked as an Executive Secretary.
Gloria is survived by her five children; Richard (Ruth), Lisa (Augustus), Peter (Rehta) Sandra (Jay), and Joe (Nicki). She was Grandmother to 7 and Big Nana to 13 Great Grandchildren.
