Gly T. (Kenney) Tallman

September 10, 1919 — October 22, 2013

TEMPLETON – Gly T. (Kenney) Tallman, 94, of 99 Bridge Street, Baldwinville died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, October 22nd, in Baldwinville Nursing Home.

She was born in Ashburnham on September 10, 1919, daughter of the late Charles and (Lydia A. (Bixby) Kenney and lived in Baldwinville for most of her life.

Gly worked as a nurses’ aide for 20 years in pediatrics at Heywood Hospital, Gardner until her retirement.  She was a member of Memorial Congregational Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, both of Baldwinville.  Her hobbies were knitting and crocheting.  Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.

Her husband, Edward N. Tallman, died in 1999.  She leaves three children, Gordon Tallman and his wife Rosalie of Phillipston, James C. Tallman and his wife Suzan of Baldwinville and Randy Tallman and his wife Cathy of Lee, Maine; a daughter-in-law, Sheila Tallman of Templeton, twelve grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.  A son, Edward Tallman and her six brothers and one sister; Clayton Kenney, Ottis Kenney, Walter Kenney, Richard Kenney, George Kenney, Arthur Kenney and Nellie Albee, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 28th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.  The Rev. Richard Jones will officiate.  A calling hour from 10 to 11 A.M. Monday will precede the funeral service.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville at a later date.
