BALDWINVILLE – Guy R. Morneault, 86, formerly of Baldwinville and Hubbardston, died peacefully Wednesday morning, April 22nd at his son Gary’s residence in Taylorsville, GA.
He was born in Lille, ME on August 23, 1928, son of the late Pierre and Yvonne (Ringuette) Morneault and lived in Baldwinville for many years. Until recently, he lived in Hubbardston for the last three years.
Guy worked as a truck driver for U.S. Mail for many years until his retirement. In earlier years, he owned the first taxi stand in Gardner with his late brother Maurice. He enjoyed fishing in his younger years and mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.
His wife, Eleanor (Knight) Morneault, died last month. He leaves five children, Gail Young of Norman, OK, Gary Morneault of Taylorsville, GA, Pamela Gemme of Leicester, Guy Morneault Jr of Gardner and Russell Morneault of Gardner; three grandsons, Matthew, Nathan and John; one granddaughter, Naomi; five great grandsons and several nieces. His brother, Maurice J. Morneault, died in 2003.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 28th at 10 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Gardner.
