BALDWINVILLE – Helene (Pineault) Gleason, 68, of Baldwinville, died Sunday, May 26th in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, with her family at her side, after a brief illness.
Helene leaves her husband, Philip, daughter Nancy and her husband Edward Waldron of Reed Plantation, Maine, son Jonathan and his wife Tina of Orange, son Douglas and his significant other Jennifer Mosher of Winchendon, former daughter in law Chris Fedirko of Winchendon, plus numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces.
Born in Winchendon on January 23, 1945 to Edmund and Florence (Beauvais) Pineault, Helene graduated with the Murdock High School Class of 1963, After graduation, Helene attended Mount Ida College and helped her father in the family business, Pineault Furniture. Upon her marriage to Phil in 1964 (they would be celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary this year), Helene stayed at home until her children were in elementary school. Helene worked at her husband’s business, LH Sawin Co, and also worked at Eastwood Pines Nursing Home, Baldwinville Nursing Home and in later years, she enjoyed working as a greeter at the Gardner Wal-Mart.
Helene enjoyed being active in Jessamine Chapter #75 Order of the Eastern Star, also donating her time to the Red Cross, crocheting, reading and the occasional jaunt to Foxwoods. Helene was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching their games regularly with Phil. She was a member of Memorial Congregational Church.
Helene will be lovingly missed by family and those, with whom she interacted.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 31st at 11 AM in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday, May 30th from 6 to 8 P.M. with an Eastern Star service at 7 PM.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Vincent Hospital for their kindness and professionalism during Helene’s brief stay.
