WINCHENDON - Helen M. (Brzoska) Lorion, 86, formerly of 73 Hyde Park Drive, Winchendon, died peacefully Monday afternoon, October 18th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester.
She was born in Gardner on September 29, 1924, the daughter of the late Alexander and Stella (Woicek) Brzoska and had lived in Winchendon for many years until moving to Gardner three years ago. She had previously lived in California several years, before returning to this area.
Helen worked for several years as an assembler at Simplex Time Recorder until her retirement in 1987. She was a former member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Gardner. Helen was a graduate of Gardner High School. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Her husband of 24 years, Francis A. Lorion, died in 2006.
She leaves a daughter, Patricia A. Rocheleau of Winchendon; three grandchildren, Kenneth H. Rocheleau of Winchendon, Debra L. Simoneau and her husband Scott of Winchendon and Tracey M. Johnston and her husband Wayne of Gardner; a sister, Bernice Poliks of Suffield, CT., eight great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Helen was also predeceased by her former husbands, Elmer Johnson and Alec Shultz.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, October 26th at 11 A.M. in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Street, Gardner. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. There are no calling hours.
