Henry N. Goewey

July 21, 1930 — February 25, 2010

WINCHENDON - Henry N. Goewey, 79, of 115 Baldwinville State Road, Winchendon, died peacefully Thursday morning, February 25th at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Orange on July 21,1930, the son of the late David A. and Viola D. (Oates) Goewey and had lived in Winchendon for many years. Henry had worked at Union Twist Drill and then worked for several years at the former Collier Keyworth Company, Gardner in its chair iron department. He most recently worked as a van driver for Fred's School Bus Company. He was a life member of Winchendon Rod and Gun Club and was a member of the Mid-State Antique Auto Club. Henry enjoyed bowling and was a member of several men's bowling leagues in Winchendon. He had won First Place in the Age 65 to 69 Category in Reno, NV. Henry owned two antique automobiles and a hot rod automobile and won several first place finishes in various auto shows. Among his other hobbies were playing "48", cribbage and cards. He leaves his wife of 56 years, K. Yvette (Webber) Goewey; two children, David H. Goewey and Candace "Candy" Caron and her husband Dickie, all of Winchendon. He was predeceased by two sisters, Madeline Laflamme and Ada Barden and a brother, Edward Goewey. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1st at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Jackson L. Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, March 1st from 10 to 11 A.M. preceding the funeral.
