ROYALSTON - Irene E. (Gagne) Neale, 95, of 7 New Boston Road, South Royalston, died peacefully Tuesday, October 28th at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Claremont, New Hampshire, the daughter of Flora (Fuzzie) Gagne and grew up in Gardner. She had lived in South Royalston for many years. Irene worked at the Winchendon School for many years and retired as the school's Head of Housekeeping. She previously had worked at Brocklemans Grocery Store in Gardner, the Royalston School System in its Hot Lunch Program, Cloutier General Store in Royalston and Ray Plastics. She was one of the founding members of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church, South Royalston. Irene enjoyed bowling and playing cards but mostly treasured time with her family. Her husband of 63 years, Winston G. Neal, died in 2005. She leaves a son, Duane A. Neale and his wife Joyce of South Royalston; two grandchildren, Todd Neale and his wife Jill, and Tricia Cummings and her husband Joe and three great grandchildren, Curtis Neale, Daniel Cummings and Hannah Cummings. She was predeceased by two brothers, Henry Gagne and Richard Gagne. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 3rd from the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church, 123 South Royalston Road, South Royalston. Burial will be in Jonas Alliene Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Sunday, November 2nd ,2008 from 6 to 8 P.M.
