Gardner-John D. Wagner, 80, died Monday, June 26, 2023, at UMass Medical Center in Worcester after an illness.
He was born in Gardner on April 27, 1943, a son of the late Zygmond and Nellie (Petrovich) Wagner.
He leaves behind his best friend Dawnette Crosby, whom he has known for many years. Her daughter Kasie and Johnny's pride and joy, the Crosby family dog; Duke. He also leaves behind many friends that were near and dear to his heart.
John is predeceased by his twin brother, Edward Wagner.
He worked for Goodnow Pearson Co, in the men's department as a manager and clothing buyer for 20 years, from 1959 - 1979, and then for the US Postal Service in Worcester and Shrewsbury for 30 years from 1979- 2009 as a clerk.
John's funeral services will be private at Annunciation Parish at Holy Spirit Church, 50 Lovewell Street, Gardner, followed by his burial in St. John's Cemetery, (rt 68) West Street, Gardner, MA
