GARDNER – James G. Adams Sr., 66, of 377 Elm Street, died peacefully Sunday evening, May 26, 2019 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner, with his family at his side.
He was born in Gardner on August 28, 1952, son of the late Wilbur and Marie (Gauvin) Adams and later lived in Winchendon until moving back to Gardner 16 years ago.
Jim worked at Wheelen Supply many years ago and worked for most of his career as a woodworker at Eustis Chair in Ashburnham and at other wood shops.
He enjoyed fishing at Lake Winnipesaukee, going to flea markets and going to Maine each year with his family. He especially enjoyed time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 30 years, Cherie L. (LaChance) Adams; five children, James Adams Jr of Gardner, Crystal Richard and her husband Jean Paul of ME, Michael Boudreau and his wife Michelle of NY, Nancy Adams and her wife Cortney Adams of Gardner and Jamie Adams and her husband Curtis Cotoni of Gardner; two brothers, Russell Adams and his wife Kathy of Baldwinville and Jack Adams and his wife Donna of Orange; two sisters, Carol Ballou and her husband Roger of Templeton and Patti O’Brien and her husband Joe of Winchendon; ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, David C. Adams, Phillip J. Adams, Larry S. Adams, Wilbur Adams Jr, Kay Richardson and Nancy Adams.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 4 to 6 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Templeton.
