WINCHENDON – Janice I. (Andrews) Quirion, of 525 Lakeview Drive, died peacefully at her residence Wednesday morning, June 17th on her 68th birthday, with her family at her side.
She was born in Petersham on June 17, 1947, daughter of the late Ray and Bertha (Norton) Andrews and was a 1966 graduate of Gardner High School. She was a resident of Winchendon for most of her life.
Janice worked as a school bus driver in the area for many years. She had also worked as a nurse’s aide at the former Gardner Manor Nursing Home and Open Arms Nursing Home. Her hobby was gardening. Janice was a member of the Red Hat Society and Lithuanian Club in Athol. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Henry Quirion and leaves five children, Ann Johnson and her husband Travis of FL, Michelle Gelinas of Winchendon, Alice Stinson and her husband Alvin of Winchendon, June Thompson of Winchendon and Robert Thompson III of Winchendon; the love of her life, Robert Thompson, Jr of Winchendon; her brothers and sisters, Mary Roberts of Athol, Karen Geer of Yukon, Missouri, Ray Andrews of Gardner, Joseph Andrews of Gardner, George Andrews of Templeton and Edna Muck of Winchendon; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Clyde Andrews and Patrick Andrews and sisters, Myrtle Thibeault and June Cote.
Calling hours will be held Saturday, June 20th from 2 to 4 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.
