WINCHENDON – Jaquelyn R. (Martin) Robichaud, 80, of 36 Hall Road, Winchendon, died peacefully Sunday morning, January 26th in Baldwinville Nursing Home.
She was born in Winchendon on September 3, 1933, daughter of the late David and Mary (Sharron) Martin and grew up in Baldwinville and Winchendon. For most of her adult life, Jackie was a resident of Winchendon.
Jackie was a graduate of Cushing Academy and Newton-Wellesley School of Nursing, where she graduated as a registered nurse. For many years, Jackie worked as a registered nurse at the former Winchendon Hospital, Burbank Hospital and then Heywood Hospital in Gardner. At the age of 62, she retired. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church and was a member of St. Martins Church in Otter River while growing up. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, restoring furniture, collecting dolls, antiquing and she was an avid reader.
Her husband of 40 years, William E. “Buster” Robichaud, died in 2007. She leaves two children, Richard E. McConnell and his wife Susie of Novi, Michigan and Lisa E. St. Pierre and her husband Brian of Winchendon; a brother, David E. Martin of Abbeville, SC; a sister, Patricia Siebert of Alexandria, VA; three grandchildren, Jonathan McConnell, Erin McConnell and Shane Kesthely and several nephews and nieces. A sister, Marianne Martin, predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 31st at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
