GARDNER – Jason T. “Jay” Mustakangas, 34, of 235 Pine Street, died Tuesday morning, September 8, 2020 in Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
He was born in San Diego, CA on December 12, 1985, son of Mary (Amadon) Mustakangas of Gardner and the late Randy L. Mustakangas and had resided in Gardner for many years.
Jay earned his GED from Mt. Wachusett Community College and had worked in general construction and for fence companies. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music and going to the beach. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his son and family.
In addition to his mother, he leaves a son John Hartwell of Gardner; two brothers, Luke A. Mustakangas and his significant other Danielle Kilty of Gardner and Nicholas L. Mustakangas of Ohio; his long time friend Kaytlyn Hartwell of Gardner; a nephew Caleb Mustakangas; a stepbrother Luke Fletcher; a stepsister Brooke Fletcher, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Burial will follow in Jonas Alliene Cemetery, Royalston.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Saturday from 9 to 11 AM preceding the funeral service.
Masks and social distancing are required.
Memorial donations may be left at the funeral home.
