WINCHENDON - Jean C. (Perkins) Joslin, 88, formerly of 97 Pearl Street, died peacefully Sunday morning, February 11, 2018 in Baldwinville Nursing Home.
She was born in Springfield, MA on October 19, 1929, daughter of the late Harry and Kathleen (Rouse) Perkins and lived in Winchendon since 1946. Jean was a graduate of Murdock High School.
Jean had worked as a secretary at the former Leominster Novelty Shop many years ago. She was an active member of the United Parish and had been a member of its Flower Committee. Jean was a member of the Winchendon Camera Club, a long time member of the Winchendon Garden Club and had been master for four years of the former Winchendon Grange. She had also been a member of the Worcester West Pomona Grange and the Rebecca's. Her hobbies were gardening and transplanting plants.
Her husband of 57 years, Charles C. Joslin, died in 2017. She leaves two sons, James C. Joslin and John W. Joslin, both of Winchendon, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Joslin, who died as an infant, and a brother, Richard Perkins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 4 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. F. Calvin Miller will officiate. A reception will follow at United Parish, 39 Front Street, Winchendon..
A calling hour will precede the funeral Tuesday from 3 P.M. to 4 P.M. in the funeral home.
