WINCHENDON – Jeanette A. (Ricord) Blouin, 83, of 95 Ipswich Drive, died Thursday morning, January 14th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after a short illness.
She was born in Winchendon on November 21, 1932, daughter of the late Silvia J. and Alice M. (Robert) Ricord and was a resident of Winchendon for most of her life. Jeanette was a graduate of Murdock High School.
Jeanette worked as a secretary at Temple Stuart Furniture Co., George Bent Furniture Co., New England Wooden Ware and Bard Medical Co. of Fitzwilliam, NH until her retirement. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Jeannette enjoyed playing bingo, vacationing at York Beach, ME and attending the annual Boston Marathon. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Her husband of 51 years, Ernest D. “Bill” Blouin, died in 2004. She leaves two sons, Thomas D. Blouin of Gardner and Timothy E. Blouin and his wife Kathy of Winchendon; a brother, Phillip R. Ricord and his wife Jan of Gardner; two sisters, Phyllis V. St. Pierre and her husband Armand of Winchendon and H. Lorraine Adams of Winchendon; three grandchildren, Christopher Blouin, Chad Blouin and Renee Blouin and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Sylvia J. Maliska and a brother, Richard Ricord, preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 19th at 10 AM in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon are Monday, January 18th from 5 to 7 P.M.
