Jeanette L. "Sally" (Brow) Paul

WINCHENDON - Jeanette (Brow) Paul, 82, of Winchendon, formerly of Gardner, died Saturday, September 18, 2010 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Mrs. Paul, affectionately known as "Sally" to her friends and family, was born in Winchendon on January 1, 1928 to Frederick and Edna (Page) Brow. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Leo A. Paul of Winchendon, whom she married on February 14, 1945 in Trenton, N.J. Sally also leaves her beloved children and their families; Judith (Paul) Whitaker and her husband Cal Whitaker of Los Osos, CA; Sharon (Paul) Harvey and husband Paul Harvey, Jr. of Winchendon; Bruce M. Paul and wife Neva Paul of Gardner, Sally J. Paul of Gardner; and Tammy Paul-Gough and husband Kevin Gough of Norwich, CT. She is predeceased by her son, Ronald James Paul, who died as an infant in 1946. Her four grandchildren: Heidi Sandecki of Fitzwilliam, NH; Shannon (Harvey) Stickney and husband Henry Stickney of East Templeton; Lisa Sandecki of Virginia Beach, VA, and Paul Harvey III of South Carolina, as well as her seven great grandchildren will all dearly miss their "Nana." Sally is also survived by her devoted sister, Honorine (Brow) Whitney of Winchendon, in addition to several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother, Frederick Brow, Jr. She attended Murdock High School in Winchendon and Heywood School of Nursing in Gardner and worked for many years as an LPN, caring for the elderly. She was an avid gardener and a talented artist, who also loved cooking, crocheting, camping and reading. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 24th at 10 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. Calling hours in the funeral home will be Thursday, September 23rd from 6 to 8 P.M.
