Jean M. Henriques

WINCHENDON - Jean M. (Garrow) Henriques, 88, of 23 Liberty Drive, formerly of Ludlow, died peacefully Sunday, April 23, 2017, at her residence, with her family at her side.

She was born in Ludlow on January 6, 1929, daughter of the late George and Sophie (Ciempa) Garrow and was a resident of Ludlow her entire life until moving to Winchendon three years ago.

Sewing and arts and crafts were a big part of her life...leading to owning her own  fabric store and teaching at the Ludlow Boys and Girls Club. She especially enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren.  In addition, she took great pleasure in music and dancing, baking, going to Mohegan Sun with the seniors, and tending to her flower gardens.   Jean was also an avid bowler and enjoyed family game nights.

Her husband of 57 years, Jacintho Henriques Jr, died in 2005.  She leaves four daughters, Sharol M. Case and her husband William of Sterling, VA, Patti A. Messier and her husband Jim of Winchendon, Amy Condon and her husband Mark of Ludlow and Leslie Furbush and her husband John of Florida; a brother George Garrow and his wife Carol of Marietta, GA, eleven grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.  A sister, Janet Cunningham, preceded her in death.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 5 to 7 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 9:30 A.M. in Island Pond Cemetery, Ludlow.
