Jeannette M. Dion

September 11, 1942 — January 25, 2025

Palm Bay, FL

Jeannette M. Dion, known affectionately by many as "Net," was a beacon of love, loyalty, and resilience who brightened the lives of all who knew her. Born on September 11, 1942, in Berlin, NH, Jeannette's life was a testament to her unwavering faith and her deep love for her family and friends. Her journey led her from her birthplace in Berlin, NH to Hopedale, MA, and then to Sebring, FL then finally to Palm Bay, Florida, where she spent her last years enveloped in the warmth of loving caregivers and friends.

Jeannette's steadfast nature was the bedrock upon which her life was built. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Phillibert Dion, with whom she shared a blissful union from May 19, 1962, until his passing. Together, they danced through life, literally and metaphorically, teaching square and round dancing for many years. Her loyalty was also evident in her second marriage to Homer “Buck” Nine whom she enjoyed golfing and traveling with. She also enjoyed working at Anthony Roberts, Prime Computer' and Linpac, where she served reliably until her retirement in 2005. Jeannette's resilience was not just a word to describe her, it was the essence of her spirit. She was a practicing and devoted Catholic, her faith guiding her through life's ups and downs. As it is written in the Bible, "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." (Proverbs 31:25) Jeannette lived these words every day, facing challenges with grace and always looking forward with a smile.

In her leisure time, Jeannette was a lover of sewing and golfing. Her hands created beautiful pieces of art through her sewing, and her golf swing was as reliable as she was. But above all, what mattered most to Jeannette was her family. She was the loving mother of her son Mark A. Dion who passed away in 1988 and her surviving daughters, Gail Connor (spouse Michael F. Connor) of Rindge, NH, and Susan Dwyer of Halifax, MA. As well as six grandchildren Erica Connor, Nicholas Evans, Anthony Evans, Jennifer (Dwyer) Prance, Meagan (Marquis) Mician, and Stephen Dwyer. As well as nine great-grandchildren. Her parents, Joseph Springer and Beatrice Bergeron, her brothers Leroy and Norman Springer, as well as her sisters Pauline, Lorraine, and Margaret all preceded her in death. Also, her beloved husbands, Phillibert Dion and Homer “Buck” Nine preceded her in death, and we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her family now.
