WINCHENDON – Joan E. (Cotoni) Anderson, 52, of 272 West Street, Winchendon, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, Wednesday evening, July 3rd.
She was born in Van Nuys, CA on November 9, 1960, daughter of Jerry and Barbara (Brown) Cotoni of Punta Gorda, FL. Joan grew up in Chelmsford, where she graduated from Chelmsford High School. She also graduated from Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill.
Joan worked at Friendly’s Restaurant in Gardner as its General Manager until her recent illness. She loved to work but her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed ceramics. For the 30 years, she had been a resident of Winchendon.
In addition to her parents, she leaves her husband of 30 years, Stephen E. Anderson; three children, Todd J. Anderson and his wife Amanda of East Greenbush, NY, Krystal Anderson of Gardner and Melyssa S. Anderson of Manchester, CT; two grandchildren, Kameron and Mason Gallant; a brother, Allen Cotoni of Chelmsford; a sister, Cynthia Cotoni of FL, as well as nephews and nieces. A brother, Jerry N. Cotoni, predeceased her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 8th at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Calling hours in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon are Sunday, July 7th from 5 to 7 P.M.
