WINCHENDON – Joan T. (Richer) Robichaud, 87, of 103 Maple Street, died peacefully Friday evening, January 8th, in Baldwinville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Home, with her family at her side.
She was born in Winchendon on October 5, 1928, daughter of the late Honore and Rose M. (Brousseau) Richer and was a lifelong resident of Winchendon. Joan was a 1946 graduate of Murdock High School and a 1948 graduate of Bryant College.
Joan worked for many years at the Office of Samuel Feldman and for many years as secretary and bookkeeper for the Town of Winchendon School Department. She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, where she was a member of its St. Vincent de Paul Society and a former member of the choir. She was also a member of Catholic Family Life, Winchendon Historical Society, Friends of Beals Memorial Library and American French Genealogical Society. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.
Her husband, Richard F. Robichaud, died in 1994. She leaves five children, Mark A. Robichaud and his wife Elaine of Winchendon, Stephen G. Robichaud and his wife Rebecca of Mansfield, CT, Anne M. Robichaud of Winchendon, James F. Robichaud and his wife Rhonda of Winchendon and John R. Robichaud of Winchendon and six grandchildren, Jillian Rose, Taylor Teresa, Max Richard, Jake Anthony, Alexandra Louise and Spencer David.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 16th at 11 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
