ASHBURNHAM – John Conlon, 59, of 8 Laurel Drive, Ashburnham, died peacefully Tuesday morning, April 9th in Blaire House of Worcester.
He was born in Fitchburg on June 10, 1953, son of the late David L. and Lilja (Manninen) Conlon and was a lifelong resident of Ashburnham.
John was a graduate of Cushing Academy and Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. He worked for Internal Revenue for 25 years until his retirement. A lover of dogs, he specially loved his dog, Eli Whitney.
He leaves his wife, Dona (Behringer) Conlon; a brother, Paul Conlon of Clinton; two nephews, Michael Conlon and Patrick Conlon, and many friends. Two brothers, Pete Conlon and David Conlon Jr. predeceased him.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 15th at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. John Horgan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Monday, April 15, 2013 from 10 to 11 A.M. preceding the service.
