John W. Fitzgerald

WINCHENDON – John W. Fitzgerald, 62, of 72 Ash Street, died peacefully Monday morning, February 2nd in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
He was born in Fitchburg on October 17, 1952, son of Hulda (Till) Fitzgerald of Winchendon and the late John Fitzgerald. John was a graduate of Murdock High School and attended Worcester Polytechnic College in Worcester, where he was a member of its hockey team. He later graduated with a degree in business from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst Campus.
John worked for over 20 years at the Templeton Developmental Center until his retirement five years ago. John was an avid sports fan and followed the Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. He enjoyed the beaches at York, Maine and trips to the casino.
In addition to his mother, he leaves three children, Michelle Frick and her husband James, Shea Fitzgerald and John Fitzgerald, all of Raleigh, NC; a brother William E. Fitzgerald and his wife Patricia of Winchendon and Karen L. Gauthier and her husband Gordon of Rindge, NH; a grandson Owen Frick and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
