WINCHENDON - Jonathan C. Benson, 55, of Winchendon, MA, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Heywood Hospital, Gardner, MA.
He was born in Concord, MA, son of the late Clarence W. and Elsie E. Benson. Jon was a very generous and selfless man. He was always happiest when helping those he loved. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and could always be found tinkering with various projects.
Jon is survived by his loving wife, Cheri; three children, Michael Benson and his wife Beth, Kristin Introvigne and her husband Joe, and Jonathan Benson; three grandchildren, Will and Ethan Benson, and Megan Introvigne, three brothers, Mark Benson and his wife Elizabeth, Matthew Benson and his wife Jody, and Brian Benson and his wife Cheryl; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Cheryl Byers; brother-in-law, Bryan Byers and his wife Deb; several nieces and nephews; and many close friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Bruce Benson.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 1-4 P.M. with a funeral service to take place at 4 P.M. at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon, MA. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
