WINCHENDON- Jonathan R. Sheehan, 71, of Harvard Street, Winchendon, died peacefully Friday morning, June 28th at the Highlands in Fitchburg, MA.
He was born in Natick, MA on May 3, 1942, son of the late Arthur and Marion (Rokes) Sheehan and had lived in Winchendon for the last ten years. For many years, he was a resident of Baltimore before moving here. While living in Winchendon, he treasured time spent with his sister Joy Rosmond and niece, Laura Halfkenny.
Jon was a Police Officer for the City of Baltimore for many years until his retirement. Jon had received his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Middlesex Community College in Bedford, MA. He served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1963. His hobbies included camping, word puzzles, woodworking and golf in the past. He also enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox.
He leaves behind four children, Nicole Sheehan of Rosedale, MD, Dawn Lewis of Perry Hall, MD, Amber Sheehan of Wilmington, Delaware, Sean Sheehan of Aberdeen, MD, his brother Raymond Sheehan and sister Joy Rosmond and several nieces and nephews, great nephews and great nieces and cousins.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
