PHILLIPSTON – Jon Paul Pervier, 68, of 165 Queen Lake Road, Phillipston, died peacefully Saturday evening, April 16 th in University of Massachusetts Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester.
He was born in Gardner on January 27, 1943, the son of the late Lincoln and Anna (Johnson) Pervier and had lived in Phillipston for many years.
Jon was a self-employed woodworker and craftsman. He owned and operated Phillipston Mill Work of Winchendon until his recent retirement. He was a member of Holden Chapel and ran home churches with his wife for 11 years. Jon’s family and business were the center of his life. A very personable man, Jon loved to talk and tell jokes. He read many Christian books and he particularly loved fishing and sightseeing. His favorite shows were Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds and The Mentalist.
He leaves his wife of 47 years, Irene J. (Brouillet) Pervier; seven children, Robert A. Pervier and his wife Pam of Athol, Timothy C. Pervier and his wife Lori of Baldwinville, Angela M. Mencarelli and her husband Perry of Ft. Myers Beach, FL, Pollianne M. Stenstrom and her husband David of Keene, NH, Hiedi L. Allen of Gardner, Kelly J. LaRosa and her husband Jeff of Barre and Anna C. Carlson of Gardner; four sisters, Joyce Provencher of Templeton, Susan Faulkner of Orange, Diane LeBlanc of Baldwinville and Judy Columbus of Templeton; one brother, Chuck Pervier of Maine, 18 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Jon was predeceased by a brother, Rodney Pervier.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 23 rd at 11:30 A.M. in Holden Chapel, 279 Reservoir Street, Holden. Calling hours in the church will be Saturday, April 23 rd from 9:30 to 11;30 A.M. preceding the funeral.
Burial will be in Lower Cemetery, Phillipston.
