WINCHENDON – Jose E. “Joe” Freitas Jr., 18, of 141 Rice Road, Winchendon, died Friday evening, March 2nd from injuries suffered in automobile accident.
He was born in Lowell on November 8, 1993 and was a popular member of the senior class at Murdock High School, Winchendon.
Joe worked part-time at Market Basket Supermarket in Rindge, NH. He enjoyed video games and was very proficient with his computer skills. He was extremely well liked by his family and friends. Having enlisted in the armed forces, Joe was planning to start basic training in August.
He leaves his mother and long-time companion, Melissa (Martin) Freitas and Leo Garcia of Winchendon; his father, Jose E. Freitas and his wife Linda of Westford a sister, Alycia M. Freitas of Winchendon; a brother, Michael Freitas of Westford; grandparents, Karen (Martin) Record of Lowell and Maria and Manuel Demelo of Lowell; two stepsisters, Alicia and Christine Garcia; a stepbrother, Jerry Gonzalez; one uncle; three aunts, one niece and several cousins. An uncle, Michael Record, predeceased him.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 8th at 11 A.M. in St. Anthony Church, 893 Central Street, Lowell.
Calling hours in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon will be Wednesday, March 7th from 3 to 7 PM.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon.
