Joseph James Brazawskis age 65 of 85 Woodlawn Street in Winchendon, passed away
unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday January 17th.

He was born in Gardner on December 31, 1957, Joe was the son of the late Elizabeth (Malesky) and Wytold Brazawskis.

Joe is also predeceased by his older brother John Brazawskis.

Joe is survived by his longtime dear friend Jason (Jay) Rahaim; two sisters, Diane Ewing and her husband Jim of Gardner, and Rose Kavalchuck and her husband Nick of Winchendon; one brother Bob and his wife Sharon of Gardner; along
with a number of nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews.

Joe graduated from Gardner High School in 1976 and later received a degree in Human Services
from Mount Wachusett Community College. Joe performed a wide variety of work over the years, but finally settled in his niche for linguistic services. Joe’s special interest was in classical language translation, especially ancient Greek and Latin languages. He was acknowledged as a leader in this unique field of work. His knowledge of the historic Mediterranean region was extensive.

Joe also loved nature and had a special place in his heart for all of God’s little creatures. Among his favorite activities were long walks on nature trails and feeding the wildlife that frequented his home.

A private service will take place at Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home in Winchendon on January 31, 2023

Burial at a future date in St. John’s Cemetery in Gardner.
