Joseph A. "Marcel" Rouleau, was born in Gardner, on March 1, 1931. Passed peacefully at Broadview Assisted Living in Winchendon, on February 25, 2025, with his family at his side at the age of 93.
His father was Joseph Lionel Rouleau born in Quebec, Canada, and his mother was Hermance (Houde) Rouleau born in New Brunswick, Canada. Both moved to Gardner, MA.
Marcel's first wife was Priscilla St. Pierre, they had three children, Donna Daniels, Debby Croft and her husband Brian, and Sharon Rouleau. Priscilla died in a car accident in 1980.
Marcel later married Pauline Trombly and gained four wonderful children, Debra Cloutier and her husband Bruce, Linda Sawyer and her husband Chris, Brenda Keney and her husband Mark, and Ernie Trombly and his wife Lillian.
Pepere leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, who will miss him very much.
He served in the Air Force during the Korean War as a Machine Tech, he was stationed in Japan, Korea, and Washington State. He worked at Pratt & Whiney Co in Connecticut, before moving to Winchendon. He was a manager at Aubuchon Hardware in Winchendon for many years and loved it. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. Marcel also ran bingo at the American Legion for many years.
When he retired he was an avid golfer and bowler and worked part-time delivering Medicine to those who could not get out. He also worked at the Liquor Store in Rindge for a short time.
He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, and an enthusiast of Life.
Joseph's family would like to thank his doctors, hospice, and the French Connections & Broadview for looking after him.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. in the Stone- Ladeau, Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Military Honors.
Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in the Spring.
