Joseph C. Muise

RINDGE, N.H. - Joseph C. Muise, 80, of 1595 Route 119, Rindge, N.H., died Monday, October 2nd at his residence after an illness. He was born in Lynn, Massachusetts on May 23,1926, the son of Albert and Marie (Muise) Muise and had lived in Rindge since 1991. Joe worked in the Lynn area until the early 1980's, when he and his family moved to the Framingham area, where he was well known in the deaf community. He had been employed at Monnick Supply in Framingham for over 20 years. He was educated in the Lynn School System. Many years ago, he served as a Scoutmaster in both Beverly and Lynn, MA. His hobbies included deep sea fishing and making model ships and airplanes. During World War 2, he served as a Seaman First Class in the United States Navy. He entered the Navy in 1943, serving until his discharge in December of 1945. He was awarded the World War 2 Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal and European-African Middle Eastern Medal. Joe was a a life member of Amvets Post 161 and Post 12 of Lynn. He leaves his wife, Mary Ellen (Kingsley-Gibson) Muise, whom he married on September 6,1968; two sons, Clifford J. Muise of East Wakefield, N.H. and David J. (Gibson) Muise of Hinsdale, N.H.; two daughters, Paulette Seidenberg of Rindge, NH and Sandra Poulin of Salisbury, MA.; two brothers, Eugene Muise of Lynn, MA. and Albert Palmer of Cambridge, MA.; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, October 6th in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Fr. Wilfred Deschamps, pastor of St. Patrick Church in Jaffrey, N.H., will officiate. Burial will be in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
