Joyce G. Carrier

FITZWILLIAM, NH - Joyce G. Carrier, 87, formerly of Route 12 South, Fitzwilliam, died Wednesday afternoon, April 9th in Heywood Hospital, Gardner. She was born in Springfield, VT. on June 4,1920, the daughter of Leon E. and Bertha A. (Nutter) Goodwin. She was raised in Winchendon by her father and stepmother, Edna, and graduated from Murdock High School. Joyce had lived in Fitzwilliam for over 60 years. Joyce was a member of the Golden Age Club of Winchendon and enjoyed dancing and being with her family and friends. Her husband of 30 years, Louis J. Carrier, died in 1995. She was also predeceased by her first husband, Alfred A. LeBlanc in 1982 and her second husband, Clayton Gonyou, in 1963. Joyce leaves three children, Alfred A. LeBlanc and his wife Linda of Claremont, NH, Patricia Turner and her husband Earl of Rutland, VT and Robert Gonyou of Athol, MA.; a stepson, Robert Carrier and his wife Rita of Reseda, CA; three brothers, Russell Goodwin of Fitzwilliam, NH, Leo Goodwin of Winchendon and John Goodwin of Rindge, NH; two sisters, Leona Goodwin of Winchendon and Gloria Blair of Florence, MA; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Two sons, Theodore LeBlanc and Stephen Gonyou, predeceased her, as well as a sister, Arline Laliberty. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Pine Grove Cemetery, Fitzwilliam, NH. There are no calling hours.
