RINDGE, NH – Judith A. “Pooka” (LaFreniere) Knight, 62, of 52 West Main Street, Rindge, NH, died peacefully Wednesday evening, January 5th, in Catholic Medical Center, Manchester, NH, with her family at her side.
She was born in Winchendon, MA on September 23, 1948, the daughter of the late Ernest M. and Ethel L. (Chisamore) LaFreniere, and had lived in Rindge since 1980.
Pooka worked at New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Peterborough, NH for 31 years until her retirement in 2006. She was member of Bethany Bible Chapel in Winchendon, where she was a 1966 graduate of Murdock High School. Pooka enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
She leaves her husband of 27 years, Phillip A. Knight; three children, Philip A. Knight of Rindge, Ryan A. Knight of Rindge and David A. Phillips and his partner Tammy of Gardner; two brothers, Michael J. LaFreniere of Athol and James P. LaFreniere of Athol; three sisters, Vickie L. Morin of Winchendon, Jeanne T. Cooper of Winchendon and Mary E. Reilly of Antrim, NH and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a son, Brian S. Phillips, who died in 1998; a daughter, Elizabeth A. Knight, who died at birth, and a brother, Ernest J. LaFreniere, who died in 2006.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 12th at 11 A.M. in Bethany Bible Chapel, 727 Spring Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Thomas Clinkscale will officiate. There are no calling hours.
Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Rindge in the spring.
