WINCHENDON – Judith A. (Avery) Plouffe, 67, a resident of Winchendon for most of her life, died peacefully Tuesday afternoon, April 17th, in Heywood Hospital, Gardner with family members at her side.
She was born in Winchendon on November 22, 1944, daughter of Reino and Shirley (Greene) Avery Makela and was a graduate of Murdock High School.
Judy worked for several years as an assembler at Ray Plastics and later worked at Teleflex Medical Company. Her last employment was working as a people greeter at Wal-Mart. She enjoyed reading and crocheting and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Judy had lived in Baldwinville for the last four years.
She was the wife of the late Joseph H. “Buster” Plouffe. She leaves two sons, Kenneth A. Smith of Winchendon and James M. Smith and his wife LuAnn of Gardner; four grandchildren, Ben Smith, Brandon Smith, Jennifer Smith and Zachary Valliere; her sister and brothers, Martha Homon of Winchendon, David Avery of Ashburnham, Stephen Avery of Ashburnham and Reino Makela of Marlboro; her stepchildren, nephews and nieces.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 5th at 1 P.M. in Riverside Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon. There are no calling hours.
