WINCHENDON – Jules Bouchard, 89, of Deming, New Mexico and Winchendon, died peacefully Sunday evening November 30th in Baldwinville Nursing Home.
He was born in Berlin, NH on September 22, 1925, son of the late Henry and Irene (Ashley) Bouchard and had lived in Winchendon for the past twenty summers while living in New Mexico during the winter months.
Jules was a truck driver and mechanic for over 50 years. A NASCAR fan, he enjoyed watching his son Scott race motorcycles. He also enjoyed Ricky Skaggs music. Technically savvy, he enjoyed working on computers and he also enjoyed his truck and trailer gadgets. Jules proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps during both World War Two and the Korean War.
He leaves a son Scott P. Bouchard and his wife Debi of Winchendon; three grandchildren, Kady Bouchard, Kori Bouchard and Kevin Bouchard; three brothers, Norman Bouchard of Athol, Ernest Bouchard of Maine and Larry Bouchard of Fitchburg; two sisters, Irene Wasserbeck of Ohio and Terry Barber of Orange as well as nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 5th at 12 Noon in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Francis A. Roberge will officiate. Burial, with military honors, will follow in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon.
