GARDNER - Julia (Buived) Matusewicz, 87, of 278 Lovewell Street, died Monday, August 22nd in the Heywood Hospital following an illness. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on August 7,1918, the daughter of Stanley and Nellie Buived and resided in Gardner for most of her life. Julia was an assembler at Simplex Time Recorder Co. for many years before her retirement. She was once employed at Florence Stove Company. She was a member of the Gardner Golden Age Club. Her husband of 41 years, Peter Matusewicz, died in 1990. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Peter P. and Janet E. Matusewicz of Springfield, MA.; four grandchildren, Shaun P. Matusewicz, Kelly Giampa, Bonnie Brooks and Joseph Giampa; several nieces and nephews, and a dear sister-in-law, Helen Zlotnik of Gardner. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25th at 11 A.M. in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. Deacon Paul J. Carrier of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home on Thursday from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. preceding the service.
