WINCHENDON – Kathleen A. (Brow) Morris, 70, of 42 Summer Street, died unexpectedly Tuesday evening, August 25th.
She was born in Winchendon on February 26, 1945, daughter of the late Raymond E. and Kathleen A. (Chard) Brow. Kathy was a 1963 graduate of Our Lady of Monadnock Academy and a 1967 graduate of Our Lady of the Elms College, where she was recognized as a member of “Who’s Who Among Students.” She later graduated with a Master Degree from Assumption College and earned various other credits.
Kathleen was an English teacher at Narragansett Regional High School from 1967 until her retirement in 2001 and served for several years as department chairman. She was also a tennis and basketball coach at the school. She was also a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner from 2000 to 2015. An accomplished golfer, Kathleen held memberships at different times in both Gardner and Winchendon and was a former City of Gardner Woman’s Champion. Kathleen was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of Daughters of American Revolution.
She leaves her husband of 44 years, John L. Morris; a brother, Richard E. Brow of Stratham, NH; a nephew Daniel Brow and his wife Laura and their children Conor and Nora of Keene, NH; an aunt, Irene Moore of Winchendon and several cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 29th at 10 A.M. in Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 52 Spruce Street, Winchendon. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
