Kathleen A. (Paine) Bourassa
August 8, 1958 — March 15, 2013
SWANZEY, NH – Kathleen A. “Kathy” (Paine) Bourassa, 54, of 106 Marcy Hill Road, Swanzey, died peacefully Friday evening, March 15th after a two year battle with cancer at the home of her mother in Baldwinville, MA.
Kathy was born in Gardner on August 8, 1958, daughter of Barbara A. (Lawrence) Paine of Baldwinville and the late Richard S. Paine and grew up in Baldwinville.
Kathy was a 1976 graduate of Narragansett Regional High School and had worked at the Templeton Developmental Center. Most recently, she worked as an office manager at SCRAP IT, Inc, in Marlborough, NH. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, her flower garden and going to the beach. She particularly enjoyed motorcycling and spending time with her family.
Her husband of eight years, Kenneth A. “Punky” Bourassa, Jr, died March 30, 2012. In addition to her mother, she leaves four children, Amanda L. Ares and her husband Erik R. of Hubbardston, Marissa A. Heglin of Marlboro, MA, Brad E. Heglin of Gardner, and Grey A. Bourassa of Hubbardston; her sister, Ursula Michel and her husband William of Baldwinville, her brothers, Marty Paine and his wife Vickie of Royalston and Rick S. Paine, Jr and his wife Molly of Baldwinville and; two stepsons, Keith Bourassa of Keene, NH and Nathan Bourassa of Chesterfield, NH and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 21st at 11 A.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. The Rev. Stephanie Flynn will officiate.
Calling hours in the funeral home will be Wednesday, March 20th from 5 to 8 PM.
Burial will be private in Greenlawn Cemetery, Baldwinville at a later date.
