Kathleen M. (Kitner) Cail

January 25, 1955 — April 26, 2014

WINCHENDON – Kathleen M. (Kitner) Cail, 59, of 35 Converse Drive, Winchendon, formerly of Westford and Pepperell, died peacefully Saturday morning, April 26th, with her family at her side.

She was born in Lowell on January 25, 1955, daughter of the late Frank and Phyllis (Farley) Kitner and had lived in Winchendon for 11 years.  Kathy grew up in Westford, where she graduated from Westford Academy in 1973.  She later attended Newbury College.

Kathy worked most recently as a customer service representative for Allen Medical in Acton.  Previously, she worked for Courier Printing in Westford as a journeyman printer.  Gardening and planting flowers were two of her favorite hobbies.  She also enjoyed running and exercising.  Her love of her family gave her the most enjoyment and she was a mother figure for her family.  A lover of children, Kathy was a volunteer at her sister-in-law’s day care in Westford.

She leaves her husband of 40 years, Kenneth A. Cail; a daughter, Brandie Gray and her husband Charles of Ayer; three brothers, John Kitner of Rochester, NH, Mark Kitner of Dracut and Matthew Kitner of Westford and several nieces and nephews.  A brother, Luke Kitner, preceded her in death.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday, May 3rd at 9 A.M. in St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 107 North Main Street, Westford.  There are no calling hours.

Memorial donations may be made to Boston Children’s Hospital, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, MA 02115.
