Kathleen R. Girard

WINCHENDON – Kathleen R. (Dunham) Girard, 71, of 433 Brown Street, died peacefully in her residence Sunday evening, September 19, 2021, with her family at her side.

She was born in Winchendon on December 20, 1949, daughter of the late Albert and Virginia (Daniel) Dunham and was a 1967 graduate of Murdock High School.

Kathy was a school bus driver for many years for H&W Transportation.  She also worked as a bookkeeper for the family business, operated by her late husband and son.  Kathy’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Her husband, Dennis Girard, died in 2014.  She leaves two children, Kenneth A. Girard and his wife Amy of Winchendon and Dawn C. Girard and her significant other Joey Leslie of Templeton; five grandchildren, Dakota A. Girard and his significant other Emma Lively, Macaylia L. Brady and her husband Nick, Seth A. Cochran and his significant other Jasmine, Kane Girard and Tatum Girard; a great granddaughter Isabella Cochran and a brother Keith Dunham of Winchendon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 2 P.M. in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon.  Services may be viewed at the following link: https://webcasts.lifetributes.com/1164748
