ROYALSTON - Kenneth Roy, 83, of 48 Norcross Road, died peacefully Sunday morning, October 29, 2017 in Baldwinville Nursing Home, Baldwinville.
He was born in Gardner on November 29, 1933, son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Lafleur) Roy and had lived in Gardner for most of his life.
Ken had worked as a truck driver for many years at the former Shepard's Express in Leominster. He enjoyed fixing cars and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Ken was a member of Gardner Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
His wife, Lola P. (Sawyer) Roy, died June 25, 2017. he leaves four children, Pauline Burrill and her husband Steve of Plymouth, MA, Janet Oliver and her husband Kenneth of Athol, Martha Minckler and her husband Bruce of Winchendon and Paul E. Roy and his wife Shirley of Royalston; four grandchildren, Rachel Sweeney and her husband Michael, Kenny Roy, Shannon Sweeney-Carmona and her husband Louis, and Duayne Minckler and his wife Wendy; five great grandchildren, Torrey Sweeney, Michael Sweeney, Shyann Sweeney, Reese Minckler and Camden Bauer and two great great grandchildren, Jaelynn Sweeney and Andrew Sweeney, and a sister Janet Sawyer of Winchendon.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 12 Noon in Stone-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central Street, Winchendon. There are no calling hours.
