WINCHENDON – Kenneth L. Ayers, 83, of Winchendon, died peacefully Saturday evening, September 4, 2021 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, University Campus, Worcester.
He was born in Bristol, VT on February 16, 1938, son of the late Francis and Maud (Fortune) Mott and had lived in Winchendon since 1972.
Ken worked as a truck driver for various trucking companies from the age of 17 until his retirement. An avid coffee drinker, Ken was also interested in farming.
He leaves his wife of 28 years, Kiflin (Minckler) Ayers; his eleven children, Christopher Ayers and wife Lisa of FL, Kenneth Ayers Jr and his wife Charity of FL, James Ayers of FL, Francis Ayers of Winchendon, Chad Ayers and his wife Kimberly of Winchendon, Deborah Dingler and husband Dale of VT, Shari Rowinski and husband Karl of VT, Shelly Driscoll and husband Scott of VT, Paige Faunce of FL, Laurie Stone of VT and Kim Laughner of NH; two stepchildren, Tina Champney of Winchendon and Shaun Stewart of Winchendon; his siblings, Helen Boutah of VT, Myona Brace of VT, Klayton “Sam” Ayers of Winchendon and Joseph Mott of VT; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by three sisters, Aldena Robb, Faline Martin and Florence Ayers and two brothers, Clarence Ayers and Keith Ayers.
